Itinerary Description

Langkawi to Koh Lipe

  1. Check-In at Counter

    • Location: Level 1, Jetty Point Complex, Kuah (Above Starbucks)

    • Compulsory Check-In Time: 1.5 hours before departure

    • Passengers who arrive late will not be allowed to board

  2. Immigration Clearance

    • Proceed to Malaysia immigration for exit processing

  3. Ferry Departure

    • Depart from Langkawi Jetty at scheduled time

  4. Arrival in Koh Lipe

    • Clear Thai immigration

    • Pay National Park Fee (cash only):

      • Adults: 200 THB

      • Children: 100 THB


Koh Lipe to Langkawi

  1. Check-In at Pattaya Beach

    • Compulsory Check-In Time: 2 hours before departure

    • Late arrivals will not be accepted

  2. Immigration Clearance

    • Complete Thai exit procedures and passport check

  3. Ferry Departure

    • Depart from Pattaya Beach, Koh Lipe at scheduled time

  4. Arrival in Langkawi

    • Complete Malaysian immigration clearance at Jetty Point Complex

Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC)

  • Required for most foreign nationals entering Malaysia

  • Exemptions: Singaporean citizens, diplomatic/official passport holders, Malaysian PRs, and selected document holders

Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

  • Mandatory from 1 May 2025 for all non-Thai nationals

  • Must be completed within 3 days before arrival

Connecting Flights

Please allow at least 6 hours between your ferry arrival and your flight departure. This is to account for:

  • Weather-related delays

  • Marine authority clearance

  • Immigration and customs procedures

Terms And Conditions

1. Booking Confirmation

Once your booking is confirmed, a confirmation email will be sent to your registered email address.

Confirmation Timelines:

  • Instant Confirmation Activities: Email will be sent within 5 minutes of booking.
  • Non-Instant Confirmation Activities: You will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours.

Please check your inbox and spam folder for updates. If you don’t receive confirmation within the stated timeframe, contact our support team promptly.

 

2. Prices & Payment

  • All prices listed are subject to change without prior notice.

 

3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • All bookings for this route are nonrefundable.
  • No refunds will be issued for cancellations, no-shows, or late arrivals.

Please plan your journey to Langkawi Jetty Point accordingly and allow sufficient time for check-in and immigration processing.


4. Amendments to Bookings

  • Requests to amend booking details (e.g., date, time, or participant names) must be made at least 48 hours before departure.
  • A modification fee will apply.
  • All changes are subject to availability and not guaranteed.

In cases of weather disruption or operational issues, Mystravels reserves the right to reschedule or cancel the trip. Guests will be offered either:

  • An alternative travel date, or
  • A full refund (excluding bank processing fees)


5. Traveler Responsibilities

All passengers must ensure they:

  • Meet the specific requirements for the activity (age limits, health conditions, etc.)
  • Follow all safety instructions provided by ferry staff or tour operators
  • Arrive at Jetty Point Complex, Kuah, Langkawi at least 1.5 hours before departure
  • Travel documents & entry visas for both Malaysia and Thailand are the sole responsibility of the passenger. Any issues arising from non-compliance (e.g. fines, entry denial) must be handled by the passenger.

Mystravels and its partners will not be held liable for injuries, damages, or losses during travel or activities.


6. Third-Party Providers

Some activities, including excursions in Koh Lipe, are operated by our trusted local partners.

  • Mystravels acts as a booking facilitator and is not responsible for the operational conduct, safety procedures, or service levels of third-party providers.
  • Passengers must comply with the terms and safety requirements of the local operators.


7. Travel Insurance (Highly Recommended)

Travelers are strongly advised to purchase comprehensive travel insurance to protect against:

  • Medical emergencies
  • Cancellations or delays
  • Personal losses or accidents

This is especially important when traveling to remote destinations such as Koh Lipe, where medical access may be limited.


8. Limitation of Liability

Mystravels is not liable for delays, cancellations, or any losses resulting from:

  • Actions by third-party providers
  • Force majeure events, such as weather disruptions, government policies, strikes, or natural disasters

Once your booking is confirmed by our third-party partner, a confirmation email will be sent to you within 24-72 hours.

  • Booking Cut-Off: All ferry bookings must be made at least 2 days before your travel date.

  • Koh Lipe Transfer: There is no ferry pier at Koh Lipe. Passengers will be transferred by local longtail boats directly to the beach.

  • Accommodation: It is recommended to book your accommodation on Koh Lipe in advance. A surcharge or local levy may apply.

  • Travel Insurance: We recommend getting travel insurance to cover cancellations, medical emergencies, or any unexpected travel disruptions.

  • Weather Conditions: Ferry schedules are subject to change due to weather or sea conditions. Always check for updates before your trip.

  • Luggage Advice: Travel light and pack essentials in water-resistant bags, especially during transfers at sea.

  • Passport & Visa: Ensure your passport is valid and check for any visa requirements for Thailand or Malaysia before traveling.

1. Are there any prohibited items I cannot bring onboard?

Yes, the following are strictly prohibited:

  • Fruits, food, and agricultural products to or from Langkawi and Koh Lipe
  • Vaping in Thailand

These restrictions are enforced by the authorities and must be followed by all passengers.

 

2. What if I miss my ferry?

If you are unable to catch the ferry, you will need to purchase a new ticket, which is subject to availability.

 

3. Can I reschedule my trip to a different date?

Yes, you can reschedule under the following conditions:

  • You must request the change at least 48 hours before your original travel date
  • It is subject to seat availability
  • An additional fee of RM30 per person, per trip will apply

 

4. Can I cancel my booking or get a refund?

No. Cancellations are not allowed, and refunds are not available under any circumstances.

 

5. Where is the check-in counter located?

The check-in counter is at:
Level 1, Jetty Point Complex, Kuah, Langkawi
(Directly above Starbucks Coffee)

 

6. What is the best time to visit Koh Lipe?

The best time to visit is from mid-October to May, when the weather is generally dry and pleasant.

 

7. How do I get around in Koh Lipe?

Getting around Koh Lipe is easy:

  • Walking is the most convenient option due to the island’s small size
  • Motorbike taxis are available upon arrival and can take you to your hotel for a fee

 

8. Can I bring a bicycle on the ferry?

Yes, but only foldable bicycles are allowed onboard starting January 1, 2024, based on Marine Department regulations.

Requirements:

  • Must be a foldable bicycle
  • Must be enclosed in a casing or box
  • Size limit: 40 cm (L) x 27 cm (W) x 74 cm (H)
  • Weight limit: 25 kg (including casing/box)
  • Additional fee: RM50 per trip

Please ensure all conditions are met to bring a foldable bicycle onboard.

 

9. Is Halal food available in Koh Lipe?

Yes. There are a few Halal food options available, making it easier for Muslim travelers to dine comfortably.
