Itinerary Description
Certified Diving – 2 Dives Itinerary
- Arrival at Jesselton Point Jetty before 8:15 AM – Check in, meet your dive guide, show your certification card, complete paperwork, and gear up.
- Boat transfer to the first dive site – Safety briefing and equipment setup onboard.
- First dive session begins – Explore vibrant coral reefs and marine life under the supervision of a dive guide.
- Surface interval on the boat – Relax and hydrate while preparing for the second dive.
- Second dive session begins – Dive at a different reef site for a fresh underwater experience.
- Return boat ride to Jesselton Point – Debrief with your dive guide and log your dives.
- Tour ends with drop-off at the jetty – Remember to observe the 18-hour no-fly rule after your last dive.

- All certified dives take place in Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park, Sabah — a protected marine reserve known for calm waters, rich coral reefs, and diverse marine life.

- Please arrive at least 30 minutes before scheduled departure time.
2. Documentation Required
- Valid dive certification (Open Water or higher)
- Government-issued ID or passport
- Completed medical and liability forms - Will send the liability link once it's confirmed.
3. Additional Notes
- All trips are subject to weather and sea conditions.
- Dive sites may be changed or canceled for safety or logistical reasons.
- Refunds are not provided for weather-related changes, but rescheduling or credit may be offered where possible.
- Divers who cannot provide valid certification on the day will not be allowed to dive.

1. Payment & Booking
- Full Payment Required: All bookings must be paid in full within 24 hours of confirmation to secure your slot.
- Booking Deadline: All scuba diving activities must be booked at least 5 days before the scheduled activity date.
- Non-Refundable: All payments are non-refundable, including for cancellations and no-shows.
2. Changes & Cancellations
- Name/Date Changes: Changes to participant names or activity dates are allowed up to 3 days before the trip, subject to availability.
- Price Adjustments: If park fees or jetty fees are increased by authorities, the new charges will apply to your booking—even if already confirmed.
- Activity Modifications: Mystravels.com and our partners reserve the right to change dive sites or schedules without notice for safety, weather, or operational reasons.
3. Requirements for Divers
- Medical Statement: All student divers must provide a signed PADI Medical Statement before the activity. If you don’t have one, request it in advance.
- Pre-Course Registration: Students joining Open Water, Advanced Open Water, or Rescue Diver courses must register with PADI and complete their theory before arrival.
- Certification Proof: All divers must present valid certification upon check-in unless enrolling in an entry-level course.
- Safety Compliance: Divers must follow PADI Standard Safe Diving Practices. Non-compliance or unsafe behavior may result in removal from activities without refund.
- No-Fly Time: A minimum 18-hour no-fly period is required after your last dive.
4. Activity Conditions
- Weather Conditions: Activities may be cancelled, delayed, or modified due to weather or sea conditions. Safety comes first.
- Non-Refundable Clause: All payments are non-refundable. However, in the case of weather-related cancellations, we will do our best to offer rescheduling options, subject to availability.
- Destination Changes: Dive destinations may be altered without prior notice due to environmental or logistical issues.
Useful Information
Once your booking is confirmed by our third-party partner, a confirmation email will be sent to you within 24-72 hours.
- Dive Certification: Bring your physical or digital proof of certification (e.g. PADI)
- Dive Insurance: While not mandatory, we strongly recommend having dive insurance for added safety and peace of mind.
- Medical Declaration: You must complete a medical form. If you answer "Yes" to any medical condition, you may need written clearance from a doctor.
- No-Fly Time: Divers must wait at least 18 hours after their last dive before flying.
- Group Sizes: We maintain small dive groups to enhance safety and comfort, with a maximum of four divers per guide.
- Languages Spoken: Our instructors speak English. Other languages may be available upon request.
- Dive Sites: Sites are chosen daily based on weather, sea conditions, and diver experience levels.
FAQ
1. Do I need to bring my certification card?
Yes. All certified divers must show valid proof of certification (e.g. PADI) during check-in. Digital copies (e.g. PADI eCards) are acceptable.
2. What is the minimum certification level to join?
You must have at least a PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent) certification. For deeper or more technical dives, an Advanced Open Water certification may be required.
3. Can a child join the certified dive?
Yes, but only if the child is 10 years or older and holds a Junior Open Water Diver certification. Depth and supervision limits will apply based on age.
4. What marine life will I see?
Expect a variety of reef fish, soft and hard corals, turtles, nudibranchs, and possibly rays or reef sharks, depending on the site and conditions.
5. How many dives are included?
Packages typically include two or three dives per day, with surface intervals in between, depending on your preference.
